Carving out terraces.

This entire garden runs up hill to a copse at the rear, making it a tricky space for the family to use, so the key to landscaping this garden was create a number of usable spaces.

Directly from the house we built a porcelain terrace and installed a more welcoming set of stairs leading up to the first sun terrace where the family created a seating area.

In the lawn area, we created a number of flat areas that could be used for sun lounging, barbecuing and dining. Over the dining space we installed a fully covered cedar pergola so this space can be used in all weathers.

For the soft landscaping, we created some large beds where the planting would be used to soften some of the angles of the hard landscaping.
